So, my interview with the Korean consulate is tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. I plan to be there by 1:30 and by in Houston by 12:30. This means leaving Seagoville at 8:00 a.m. So I've been considering what to where to the interview. I want to dress nicely, but not wear a suit since none of mine fit properly. :( It's okay. I'm going to wear a black jacket with blue-black plaid pants and a brown shirt or maybe another shirt. I'll have to play dress up to get teh right combination, but this is the feel I'm going for. I posy with more information about the actual interview tomorrow.
So my new boss said she would buy the plane ticket on Monday, but I've still not heard from her. I'm not going to worry about it until after the interview. Then I will send both her and the recruiter an email telling her that the interview is complete and hopefully getting some idea of when I will actually get the visa and getting a response about the plane ticket.
So, finding people who are from Korea, went to Korea to teach English, were stationed in Korea, and knew people who did any of these things continues. I met 5 people this week who fall into one of these catagories. I actually got some hints on pronunciation from one of my home teachers who served a Korean-speaking mission in California. Cool.
So, this is the current situation. This time next week I'll be on a plane heading toward my new home.
